How it Works

1

Receive Your Prescription

Your provider will apply the CAM Patch to your chest during your office visit, or it may be mailed to you for home application.

2

Wear Continuously

You’ll keep your monitor on, continuously, for the entire duration it was prescribed. You might be asked to wear it up to 14 days. Continue your daily routine as you normally would while wearing your CAM Patch. You can exercise and shower while wearing it, but you must avoid swimming or submerging during CAM Patch wear.

3

Note Your Symptoms

If you notice any symptoms during wear time, gently press the silver button once, and document symptoms with both date and time in your Patient Diary. Pushing the button will aid your doctor who can evaluate your heart rhythm at the moment your symptoms arise.

4

Return Your Monitor

When your monitoring period is complete, remove your CAM Patch. Your clinic will provide instructions on how to return the monitor; return it as directed either to your provider’s office or by dropping it in the mail. Your doctor will review your data and contact you with results.

Patient Diary

The Patient Diary is provided by your doctor when the CAM Patch is applied or in the product box you received in the mail. Making a note of your symptoms in the Patient Diary helps your doctor get a clearer picture of the circumstances that contribute to your discomfort. You’ll include your Patient Diary when you return your CAM Patch monitor for analysis. If you need an additional copy, you may download it below.

What is an arrhythmia?

An arrhythmia is simply an abnormal heart rhythm. Some arrhythmia can be harmless. Others may indicate a more serious issue. Serious cardiac rhythm disorders can be responsible for uncomfortable sensations in the chest (palpitations), light-headedness, dizziness, loss of consciousness (syncope), difficulty breathing, limited exercise capacity, chest pain and cardiac arrest. There are many possible factors that can cause arrhythmia. By wearing a heart monitor, you help your team of healthcare professionals diagnose potential arrhythmias and determine treatment options.
